Xiaomi Redmi 4 / 4x (Santoni) now receiving MIUI 11 update [V11.0.2.0.NAMMIXM]

In April of this year 2019, Xiaomi released a list of its smartphones that will get the MIUI 10 update but won't be receiving the newest MIUI 11 and one of them is the 2 years old entry level smartphone the Redmi 4 / 4x (codename: Santoni).

Xiaomi however seems to have reconsidered this decision and have decided to rollout the MIUI 11 update for the Redmi 4 as many users have already started receiving the latest iteration of Xiaomi's own custom Android skin.

Even though it's the newest MIUI 11, it's still based on Google's 2 year old Android 7.1.2 Nougat. It however comes with most of the latest MIUI 11 features as well as Android October 2018 security patch.

The update which comes with the version number V11.0.2.0.NAMMIXM which weighs in at 483MB. The MIUI 11 for Redmi 4 / 4x is being rolled out in batches so it might take a couple of days or even weeks before the update finally gets to all users.

In case you haven't received the update notification yet, you can manually check by heading over to your phone's settings => About phone >> System update, then click on Check for updates.

If you get No update available, then you have to either wait for the update to show up on your phone or download the ROM from the links below and follow the instructions HERE.to manually install the update.
