Xiaomi's Mi band 4 sold over 1 million units in 8 days

Xiaomi's Mi band is one of the most popular and also one of the highest selling wearable fitness tracker in the world. Last year's Mi band 3 sold 23.3 million units in just 2018 alone with 13.5% market share, making it the second highest in 2018 after Apple watch which took 26.8% market share last year.
Earlier this month, Xiaomi launched the Mi band 4 in China which is the successor to last year's Mi band 3. In just one week after the launch of the Mi band 4, Xiaomi announced that it has sold over 1 million units. The company also reported that there was a point where it was shipping over 5,000 units every hour making it the fastest selling wearable from Xiaomi.

The new Mi band 4 is very similar to the Mi band 3 in terms of design and features except for the few upgrades like the new coloured OLED display, Xiaomi's virtual assistant which is called Xiao Ai, and a better battery life with over 2 weeks usage for a single charge.

The base price of the Mi Band 4 is CNY169 ($25 €21), while the NFC variant for wireless payments is CNY229 ($33 €30). The Mi Stores in Spain and Italy will offer it for €35. The Mi band 4 is currently available for sale in China and it will be available in Europe, India and other countries starting from June 26.
