HMD's Nokia 6 2018 Already Receiving Android 8.0 Oreo Update Even before Official Sales Begins

The Nokia 6 (2018) 2nd generation is the latest smartphone from Nokia and it was officially announced just few days ago. Just like the predecessor, the device is a budget friendly  smartphone with mid range specifications.

The device however was announced with the Android 7 Nougat OS which was disappointing to many as a lot of people expected the 2018 smartphone to at least come with the latest android 8 Oreo OS out of the box instead of the previous Nougat OS. 

HMD might actually have taken this into consideration as latest report has it that the HMD company has already started rolling out the latest android 8 Oreo update to the Nokia 6 (2108) even though the device isn't even available for purchase yet. 

Keep it in mind that Nokia plans to start the official sales of the new smartphone on the 10th of January which is still few days away. So what this actually means is that you have the option to update your device to the latest OS immediately after purchase. 

The sales of the device is expected to kick off in China which is HMD's home and we actually have no idea when Nokia plans on expanding the sales of the device to other regions.
