How to upgrade your Xiaomi Mi 10 to Android 11 Beta

It is no more news that the Google Android 11 is finally here. This is the latest version of the Android operating system with a couple of new features and improvements like the new notification bar, improved App permission control, screen recorder, media control and many more.
Even though the stable version of the Android 11 is not yet ready and won't be launching anytime soon, the beta version is already available for the Google Pixel smartphones as well as some other Android devices like the Xiaomi Mi 10.

Xiaomi has released the fastboot ROM of the Android 11 beta for Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro users who are interested. Keep in mind that this is an early beta build and it is not stable yet. So you will most likely experience a couple of bugs if you upgrade to this early build. If you however still feel like installing the update, then just follow the detailed guide below.

Note: This is an early beta build and might brick your phone. Make sure you backup your phone and also follow the instructions carefully as XiaomiAuthority won't be held responsible for any damage that happens to your phone.

How to Install Android 11 Beta on Xiaomi Mi 10
  • Make sure your phone's bootloader is unlocked or follow the instructions above.
  • Download the adb tools and install.
  • Download the Mi Flash Tool and extract it on your PC.
  • Open the extracted folder and double click on XiaoMiFlash.exe to open.
  • Turn off your phone and reboot into Download mode by holding down the Power and Volume Down buttons together.
  • connect your phone to the PC.
  • Download and extract the fastboot ROM (Make sure you remember the location you extracted it to).
  • Click on select on the MiFlash tool and select the extracted fastboot ROM or copy the address of the extracted fastboot folder and paste it in the provided address bar in Mi Flash tool.
  • Click on refesh on MiFlash tool and click on Flash.
  • Once the process completes and the progress bar turns to green, your phone will automatically reboot.
