QI Wireless Charging coming to Oppo, OnePlus and Vivo soon

Oppo which is the parent company of Vivo and OnePlus has just joined the WPC under the name Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications Corp. The WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) is a group of companies working towards developing and promoting the Qi wireless charging standard. Members of this group include Apple, Samsung, Huawei, ZTE, Panasonic, Sony, and now Oppo.
None of Oppo's, Vivo's or OnePlus' smartphone till date supports wireless charging. That might however be changing soon as joining the WPC is one of the requirements for creating a smartphone equipped with QI wireless charging. We however don't know when Oppo will start implementing this technology in its smartphones, probably this year.

OnePlus is rumoured to officially announce the OnePlus 7 as well as it's first 5G smartphone by May of this year. Report also has it that OnePlus 7 has already gone into production, so it might not come with the wireless charging. That might however be reserved for the OnePlus 7t.
