How to Set-up the Apple HomePod in your Home
Since smart speakers seems to be the latest trend in technology market, Apple has decided to join the market with its own smart speaker which is known as the Apple HomePod. With Siri onboard and limited number of features, the new Homepod is definitely not as capablel as it's closest competitors like the Google home device and Amazon's Echo, but it's not a bad device overall.
So let's say you just got yourself a new HomePod probably to still remain in the Apple ecosystem, next step will definitely be to set it all up and ready to go. In this post, I will put you guys through the necessary process to get your Homepod running. It's pretty easy and straightforward, just follow the steps below.
How to Setup your Apple Homepod
>> Make sure your iPhone or iPad is updated to the iOS 11.2.5 or above. This will enable your device to recognize and communicate with the smart speaker.
>> Connect the HomePod to a power outlet.
>> Move your iPhone or iPad close to the HomePod and a pop-up message will appear informing you that a HomePod has been spotted.
>> Click on "Set Up" to proceed with the set-up process.
>> Next step is to select the room the HomePod will mostly reside in from the available options.
>> The HomePod will then ask if you want to enable Personal Request.
>> After that, you need to agree to the terms and conditions to proceed.
>> Next step is to click on "Transfer Settings" to import your account and settings from your iOS device.
>> Once you are done, you will be prompted to train Siri by repeating a couple of questions. (This step is optional though).
