Xiaomi Launches Black Shark Gaming Smartphone with 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage

Just like the Razor phone, Xiaomi has just launched its own gaming phone which called the "Black Shark". The Black Shark is actually an independent company with Xiaomi just been the main shareholder. Both companies have come together to create a gaming focused smartphone which is expected to give the Razor phone a run for its money.

The new black shark smartphone sports a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2160 X 1080 resolution. It is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz. It also comes in 2 different variants which are the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The device features dual rear camera setup with sensors of 12MP and 20MP with aperture f/1.7, and also a 20mp front facing camera. The Black Shark phone is packed with a 4000mAh battery and runs on a MIUI like custom interface known as Joy UI and it's based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

As far as pricing goes, the Xiaomi Black Shark with 6GB RAM will cost 2999 yuan, which is about $480. The variant with 8GB of RAM is priced at 3499 yuan (approximately $560). The Black Shark Gaming Controller, the device driver, is priced at 179 yuan, just over $30, but the company will send it for free to the first users who book the phone.
