Xiaomi Puts an hold to Android 8.0 Oreo Update for Mi A1 Users due to Multiple Bug Issues

Xaiomi rolled out the Android 8.0 Oreo update to Mi A1 users on the last day of 2017. This is to act as the end of the year gift and also to meet up with the promised Android 8.0 Oreo deadline. Unfortunately, it looks like the company actually rushed the update as there have been numerous complaints from users and Xiaomi has been forced to pull down the update.
Xiaomi announced that the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Mi A1 users is currently out on hold until the company is able to fix the multiple bugs users complained about.

Some of the problems experienced by Mi A1 owners who updated to Android 8.0 Oreo includes issues with camera, dialer and Recent apps, as well as fingerprint sensor and battery life. The most frequent being the dialer app, which would stop responding or not work as intended (delays while making a call).

Fortunately, Xiaomi promise a temporary fix to this issue until JIO, the company responsible for the dialer app, finally addresses the bug.

Some other issues complained by users includes battery drain when Bluetooth is enabled and the swipe gesture on the fingerprint sensor that's not working. Xiaomi is currently working on fixing this bugs but we will keep you guys updated when the Android 8.0 Oreo rollout resumes.
