OnePlus 5t now Receiving OxygenOS open beta Android 8 Oreo Update

Few days ago, OnePlus teased on its twitter handle that Android 8 Oreo update will be available for OnePlus 5t users soon but no date was mentioned. The good news now is that the open beta version of the Android 8 Oreo update is now available for OnePlus 5t users.

Remember that this is still the beta build and not the stable Oreo version, so you will most likely experience instability as well as lots of bugs. Also, it's advisable you join the OnePlus 5t open beta program before you proceed with the upgrade.

As expected, the latest update comes with the standard Oreo changes as well as a few OnePlus tweaks and the new December security patch.

Note that upgrading to this new Oreo beta update for your OnePlus 5t means you won't be able to easily revert back to your previous OS and a clean flash will be required.
