Sony Xperia XZ Premium users starts receiving latest Android 8.0 Oreo update

Last week, Sony officially made an announcement that it will start rolling out the latest Android 8 Oreo update to Xperia XZ Premium users by December of this year. But the update is actually rolling out way sooner than we all expected as Sony has already started rolling out the update starting from yesterday.

The update is expected to take time before it gets to everyone as the roll out will commence in stages. The availability of the new Oreo update to all Sony Xperia XZ Premium users will actually be determined by the market, region and also carrier.

The change log of the new XZ Premium update shows some of the newly added features and improvements such as 3D Creator, predictive capture, autofocus burst, improved sound quality and app shortcuts.

Also, the new Xperia XZ Premium Rosso, which was announced last week, will make its debut in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Middle East and Africa. It's expected to ship with the latest Android 8 Oreo out of the box.
