Nokia 8 expected to receive Android 8 Oreo update as early as late October this year

Nokia under HMD has released some Android powered smartphone this year one of which is the flasgship Nokia 8. Although all the Nokia Android smartphones ship with the Android 7 Nougat straight out of the box, HMD has already assured customers that all the available Nokia smartphones will receive the Android 8 Oreo update soon, but the big question is how soon.

HMD already confirmed that they are currently testing the Android 8 Oreo on the Nokia 8. At a recent press conference in Taiwan with the occasion of the Nokia 8's launch in the country, HMD's officials present at the event confirmed the smartphone will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo as early as late October this year.


Although the Nokia 8 is already available in some few countries, the device is expected to ship out to many other countries by the first week of October and also considering the fact that the device might be getting a major update the same month, that will really be a big plus to HMD and the Nokia 8 users.
