Google PlayStore deletes 8 Malicious Android App capable of stealing users bank details - Check full list

Joker Trojan is a very malicious malware that was very popular in a lot of malicious Apps back then in 2017. The malware made a comeback in 2019 and now there are warnings that it's present in a couple of popular Android Apps again.

The malware was found in a couple of Android Apps on the Google playstore which has all been taken done by Google. The Belgium police has also warned all Android users who might have any of the Apps installed on their phones to quickly uninstall them.

The Trojan malware installs spyware and it's own secret dialer on infected Android phones thereby gaining access to messages, contacts and other personal information on the affected smartphones.
With this access, the Joker malware is able to secretly subscribe the victim's to premium services and subscriptions without the victim's knowledge. Below are 8 popular Apps that have been flagged for containing this Malware.

Keep in mind that this is just the list of Apps that have been detected to contain this virus, there might be more apps out there yet to be detected, so to make sure you are safe from this Malware or other types, simply follow the precautions below.

How to keep your Android phone safe from Malware / Virus attacks
  • Download applications only from trusted sources like Google Play Store
  • Do not click on any random link or download any random App you are not familiar with, especially modded Apps.
  • Turn off installation from the unknown source option
  • Read you read the App permissions on your Android phones before granting it to any app.
