Download official Pixel Experience (Android 10) custom ROM for Redmi Note 5 Pro (Whyred)

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / Pro (CodeName: Whyred) was launched early 2018 with some Mid-Range specifications and very affordable price tag. This made the phone a major success for Xiaomi as the company was able to sell millions of units in just a short time.

Its been over 2 years already but the Redmi Note 5 Pro is still getting a whole lot software support both officially and unofficially. Even though the phone was launched with Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box, it still managed to get two major updates which were the Android 8 Oreo and Android 9.0 Pie.

Officially, there is no Android 10 update for the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but there are a couple of stable custom ROMs for Whyred that are based on the latest Google Android 10 and one of them is the Pixel Experience custom ROM.

The Pixel Experience is an AOSP based custom ROM with a very minimalist User Interface. It takes a lot of resemblance from the normal Google Pixel OS including the wallpapers, themes, fonts, boot animations and even comes with Google App pre-installed.

How to Install Pixel Experience on Redmi Note 5 Pro (Whyred) (Clean Flash)

• Make sure you have Twrp recovery installed on your phone or download above.
• Download the FULL Pixel experience or plus file from the link above.
• Boot your phone to recovery.
• Wipe System, data, dalvik and cache.
• Install the Pixel experience or Pixel experience Plus Zip file.
• Reboot to system.

How to update from previous version of Pixel experience

• Download the Incremental Pixel Experience or Plus file.
• Reboot your phone to recovery
• Wipe System, Dalvik and cache
• Install the incremental ROM zip file
• Reboot to system.

Note: 

• neonKernel as default kernel as other kernels doesnt have new implemenation for dt2w and led yet. 
• Volte doesn't work properly, but it will be fixed in the next update.
