Get 1GB for N200, 4GB for N1000 on MTN welcome back data plan, how to activate

I recently posted about the MTN double data offer which gives users up to 9GB for N2,000 and 20GB for just N3,500. Even though there are a lot of people enjoying this plan, there are some who are still left out probably due to their SIM not being eligible or the data plan being above their budget.

So I have decided to share another data plan from MTN which is the welcome back data plan. This is cheaper than the double data offer, but unfortunately it also doesn't work on all SIMs. The plan can be used on all internet enabled devices like your phone, PC, MIFI etc.

The MTN welcome back plan is not a new data plan as it has been around for quite sometime. This plan however only works on eligible SIM cards. To be eligible, you probably must have left your SIM for like a month without using it. But it also works on some random SIM cards, so you might still try your luck.

How to Activate the MTN Welcome back Plan

• Dial *131*65#
• If you get the error message "code you used was incorrect", then your SIM is not eligible
• But, if the menu options appear, then you can proceed
• Select the plan you want to subscribe for
• You will get a message upon successful activation

How to check your data balance

• To check data balance, SMS 2 to 131
