Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 starts receiving Android 9.0 Pie update

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 have started receiving Android 9.0 Pie update. The phone was launched in March of 2017 and it came with the Android 7 Nougat out of the box.
The update comes with the build number G390FXXU4CSF9 and it includes the latest June Android security patch. The update also comes with the new Samsung One UI and all of it's features which includes:
  • Night Mode
  • Unicode 11.0
  • New card style UI with curved edges
  • New Quick Settings toggle with rounded buttons
  • Improved lock screen and clock design
  • Improved Samsung Dialer app
  • Always on Display improvement
  • Redesigned Samsung Messages UI
  • Bixby Home UI changes and Bixby button remapping
  • Samsung floating keyboard
  • New Navigation bar with gestures


The Android 9 update for Galaxy Xcover 4 has already started rolling out but it's being pushed out in patches, so it might take time before some users get the update. If you haven't received the OTA update notification yet, you can manually check by heading over to your Settings > About Device > Software Updates.
