Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are not eligible for Android Q beta update until June

The recently launched Google pixel 3a and pixel 3a XL both runs on the latest Android 9 Pie. Both phones however comes with an older Android security patch pre-installed. Instead of the latest May 5th Android security patch found on other pixel devices, the pixel 3a phones are pre-installed with the older March 5th security patch.
The pixel 3a and 3a XL will however remain on the March security patch until next month. This also means that the two devices won't be eligible for the Android Q beta program until next month. While the other pixel devices will be getting the Android Q beta 3 this month, the 3a and 3a XL will have to wait until June.

The Android Q beta 4 update will roll out to all pixel devices in the first week of June. The April and May security patch are also expected to be included in the included in the patch that will be released on June 3rd.
