Unlocked LG V30 Starts Receiving Android 8.0 Oreo Update

Unlocked smartphone models are always the first to receive new OS update before carrier locked models but the case is different with the LG V30. Even though all major carriers in the United States have already released the new Oreo update for the V30, LG has just started pushing out the update for the unlocked version.

LG has already commenced rollout of the Android 8.0 Oreo update for all LG V30 devices. The update is going to be released in batches so it might take some time before it gets to all users.

The new update comes with the standard Oreo features as well April security patch, AI features and camera enhancement. When you get the update notification, make sure your phone is charged and you are connected to a strong WiFi network before you proceed.
