You can now add hashtag and profile links to your Instagram bios

The latest Instagram update will now allow users to add hashtags and profile links to their bios. With the live links, subscribers will be redirected to a hashtag page or to another Instagram profile depending on what they click on.

According to Instagram, being able to add the new hashtag links in your bios is a new way to express yourself and the things you care about. The new profile link will also make it possible to redirect users to another Instagram profile directly from your bios. Now when you include a # or @ in your bio, they become live links that lead to a hashtag page or another profile.

Adding a hashtag or profile link in your bio is pretty easy, all you need to do is to tap on Edit Profile and go to the "bio" section. When you type a "#" or "@", you will see a list of recommended hashtags and accounts in the typeahead. Once you select the hashtags and accounts you want, they will automatically be linked in your bio.

Keep in mind that the account holder of the Instagram profile you are linking in your bio will receive a notification with the option to opt in or opt out. If they choose to opt out, their profile will still remain in your bio but without a link.

The new feature is already rolling out to both Android and iOS platform, so just head over to the Google play store or App Store and update your Instagram app to enjoy this awesome new feature.
