OnePlus 5t Starts Receiving Official Android 8 Oreo Update Alongside OxygenOS 5.0.2

This is good news for OnePlus 5t users as OnePlus starts rolling out the official Android 8 Oreo based update to its flagship device. The update which comes as OxygenOS 5.0.2 is packed with some standard Oreo features like Parallel Apps, picture-in-picture mode and many others.

• Upgraded Android version to Oreo (8.0)
• New design for Quick Settings
• General bug fixes and improvements
• Applied CPU security patch: CVE-2017-13218

2. Applications

• Updated Launcher to v2.2
• Updated Gallery to v2.0
• Updated Weather to v1.9
• Updated File Manager to v1.7.6

According to OnePlus, the update is expected to reach a small number of users first but will be available to everyone in the coming days. It's advisable you have a stable WiFi network and your phone is charged or connected to a power supply before you proceed with the update.
