Apple Pay Cash Service is now Live and Enabled- Check out how to use it
Few days ago, Apple rolled out an update to iOS 11.2 to put a end to the December 2nd date bug that was causing continuous crashing loop some iPhone models. But the update didn't just fix the bug but also came with some other new features.
Some of the newly added features in the latest update were faster wireless charging, additional live wallpaper options for the Apple iPhone X, and enabled Apple Pay Cash in compatible models. But even though the update came with Apple Cash Pay, a lot of users were unable to enable it but this was because the service wasn't live yet as the update came sooner than scheduled.
Now Apple has finally enabled the Apple Cash Pay service and users with compatible iPhones can now start using it. To use this service, go to Apple Wallet, tap on Apple Pay Cash, and follow the procedure to add your card. Note that 3% fee will be charged on all transaction if you use a credit card while debit card is free. If you're using a debit card for Apple Pay, iOS 11.2 will recommend that you use the same one for Apple Pay Cash.
With Apple Pay Cash, you can transfer money to family and friends through the iMessage app as long as both parties have it enabled on their iPhone or Apple watch. A balance in Apple Pay Cash can be transferred to a connected bank account and can also be used to pay for transactions inside stores or online using Apple Pay. You can also ask Siri to make a payment by saying something like "Apple Pay 25 dollars to Mary for dinner" or "Send 25 dollars to Mary."
