GTBank Lifts Limits on it's Naira MasterCard for Foreign Transactions to $1000

Due to the economic recession and the naira crash that has been on for quite some time now, most banks in Nigeria disabled their naira master and Visa cards from international transactions while many others like Gtbank, UBA etc, put a $100 monthly limitation on their cards.

If you happen to shop online a lot or you do a lot of international transactions, then you will really know how frustrating it is when you have to sort for funds from the black market instead of your bank.

Good news now is that some banks have started reviewing thier monthly limits. Ecobank recently lifted the restriction on their naira card to $300 daily and $3000 monthly. Now Gtbank has also lifted thier card limit from $100 to $1000 monthly.

Now you can shop or make payments on foreign sites with your Gtbank naira mastercard with a monthly limit of $1000 or it's equivalent.

The bad news is that making withdrawals with your naira master card abroad will now attract a few of N1000 instead of N420 and you can only withdrawal $300 daily. Also, you guys should note that Gtbank sells dollar at the rate of N380/$.
