Telegram Ends Support For Older Android Versions. Check The List HERE

After the world most popular social messaging app "WhatsApp" ended Support for some old devices and mobile operating systems, telegram decided to follow suit by ending support for some older android OS versions.

Telegram app will now work only on android version 4.0 ice cream sandwich and above. So if your android phone happens to run on android 2.2, 2.3 or 3.0 then telegram app will no longer work on it again.

According to the developers, the reason for this decision is to enable them implement newer features without having any issue with compatibility on older android OS versions.

According to the current android usage chat, around 1.4% are still using Android version 2.2, 2.3 and 3.0. This makes up about 19.6 million mobile devices around the world.
