MTN Plans to Discontinue Support For Blackberry Internet Services By The End of January

Blackberry which used to take the lead in the smartphone market has finally lost that position to other brands like Samsung, iPhone and many others. Even the android powered Blackberry priv which was released two years ago didn't meet up to expectations.

If you recall, Etisalat was the first to discontinue support for Blackberry BIS plan November last year, before Glo followed suite about a month late. Now MTN has also announced to its BIS and BBC subscribers that the plan will be discontinued by the end of this month.

According to a message MTN sent to its Blackberry subscribers,

"Dear customer, MTN Blackberry service will be decommissioned on 27/01/2017. Please upgrade to a smartphone and enjoy 100% bonus on any data bundle purchased".

If you are stil using your Blackberry smartphone, I guess it's time for you to switch to another smartphone. If you feel the iPhone is too expensive, then am pretty sure you can get an affordable android or windows phone out there.
