list of Xiaomi smartphones that will receive Android 7.0 Nougat Update

Many smartphone manufacturers that are yet to release the android 7.0 Nougat update for their devices are planning to do so before the middle of the year. Some brands like Samsung and Huawei has already published the list of their devices that will be receiving the Nougat update.

For the Xiaomi users, there is hope that you might be getting the update pretty as Xiaomi has just released the official list of smartphones that will be getting the update.

As expected, many smarphones in the Xiaomi flasghip mi series will be receiving the update and the devices includes,

>> Mi4

>> Mi5

>> Mi5s 

>> Mi5s Plus

>> Mi Note 2

>> Mi Max

>> Mi Mix 

Unfortunately, the Xiaomi mi3 and the Xiaomi mi note are not included.

The Nougat update will also be rolled out to the Xiaomi Redmi and Redmi Note series. Below is the full list of Redmi and Redmi Note devices that are expected to get the update.

>> Redmi 3S

>> Redmi 3S Prime

>> Redmi 4A

>> Redmi 4

>> Redmi 4 Prime

>> Redmi Note 3

>> Redmi Note 4

As most of us already know, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4 is available in both the Mediatek and snapdragon variants. But Xiaomi was not specific if both variants will be getting the update or the update will be released to just one.  I guess we all just have to wait until Xiaomi starts rolling out the update.

So guys, there you have it. That is the full list of Xiaomi smartphones that are eligible for the Nougat update. If the phone is not listed then I guess it's time for you to upgrade.
