List of Smartphones That Will No Longer Support WhatsApp Starting From Today

2016 is now history as we are now in a new year which is 2017. But am pretty sure most of you remember that starting from today, the world's most popular social messaging app "WhatsApp" will stop working on some older devices.

WhatsApp already made this announcement on its official blog in February 2016. Although the application might not be blocked on this said devices but they will stop receiving newer features and updates.

According to an announcement made by WhatsApp ealry last year, “As we look ahead to our next seven years, we want to focus our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use. So, by the end of 2016, we will be ending support for WhatsApp Messenger on the following mobile platforms”

List of devices that will no longer get support from WhatsApp:-

=> BlackBerry, including BlackBerry 10
=> Nokia S40
=> Nokia Symbian S60
=> Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
=> Windows Phone 7.1

=> iPhone 3GS/iOS 6

So if your current phone falls into one of the categories listed above, then it's time for you to let go of that already obsolete device and upgrade into something more current.
