Samsung Stops Production And Sales Of The Galaxy Note 7

This is definitely not a good time for Samsung at all. Samsung is currently going through a serious crisis that no OEM will ever pray for. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which was suppose to be the greatest smartphone of 2016 turned out to be a total disaster .
The Galaxy Note 7 had a successful launch as global demand exceeded expectations, but this was until the battery exploding saga came into picture which forced Samsung to halt sales and announce a global Recall of the smartphone.

The global Recall which was suppose to fix the battery issue happened to be a total fail as the new units also turned out to be mobile explosives waiting for the right time to explode. At this point, major carriers like T-Mobile, At&t and many others have stopped selling the device. They have also gone ahead to introduce an unconditional exchange for all those with the smartphone.

The South Korean company has also gone ahead to halt the production and sales of the device.

As you have already heard, for the benefit of consumer's safety, we stopped sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note7 and have consequently decided to stop production. We are working closely with partners and regulatory bodies in each country and will take immediate steps to resolve the situation. All Galaxy Note7 owners will be offered the exchange of the Note7 for other Galaxy smartphones with refund of the price difference, or a full refund at the point of purchase. We sincerely apologize for the customers who have trusted and waited for the Galaxy Note7, and for the inconvenience this may cause for all Galaxy Note7 owners.

We really don't know if this is going to be temporary or permanent. But we just hope the company finds a fix to this reoccurring issue. And to all those who are still in possession of any note 7 unit. It's advisable you return the smartphone for a refund or exchange just to be on the safer side.
