Motorola To Release Android 7.0 Nougat To The Moto Z and G4 family in Q4

Even though the new android 7.0 Nougat has been officially released for like a month now, no android device is currently running on the new android version aside the Nexus devices. Many Android phone manufacturers are already planning on pushing out this new OS update to some of their devices and Motorola happens to be one of them.

 According to a Motorola's spoke person, the latest Android 7.0 Nougat would start rolling out to the Moto Z family and also the Moto G4 in  starting from the 4th quarter of this year(Q4).  Since that includes October, November and December, it means that some Motorola devices may receive the update as early as next month or as late as the end of the year.

Even though Motorola did not specify which member of the Moto Z will be getting the new OS upgrade, we assume they should be the Moto Z, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force, Moto Z Force Droid, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Play Droid, Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus, and Moto G4 Play.

Motorola also made mention that some of its other devices will be receiving the update in due time. But no specific name of device, date or time frame was given by the company.
