The OnePlus 6T will not have a HeadPhone Jack, but a better Batter Life

Back in 2016 when Apple announced the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 plus, the two smartphones were hit with a lot of controversies and this was due to the sudden removal of the headphone jack. Many customers who were not okay with the decision back then have been forced to leave with it and even many Android manufacturers are now following the trend including those who threw a jab at Apple back then.
The latest addition to the "no headphone jack league" is OnePlus. According to OnePlus Co-founder Carl Pie, the next OnePlus smartphone which is expected to be the OnePlus 6T will not come with the 3.5mm headphone jack. Just four months ago during the unveiling of the OnePlus 6, the company actually took a jab at Apple and Google for removing the headphone jack so it comes as a shock that OnePlus is also taking this decision so soon.

According to Pie, now "is the right time" to get rid of the headphone jack. He also said eliminating the headphone jack will enable the company to add more features to the phone as well as a better battery life. OnePlus is also currently working on a new version of it's Bullets V2 wired headphones, but this time with a USB type C connector. The new Usb type C Bullets V2 wired headphones is expected to go for $19.95.

The OnePlus 6T will be officially unveiled in the fourth quarter of this year with in-screen fingerprint scanner and a much smaller water drop display notch. Just like Apple's new iPhones, the Google Pixel 2s and other smartphones without the headphone jack, the upcoming Oneplus 6T will most likely include a dongle.
