NCC Has Suspended Plan To Increase Prices Of Data Plans

I guess we the people have a voice after all. Nigerian internet users received a shocking news last week when the NCC instructed the Telecoms operators that starting from the 1st of December, they should switch to the new minimum pricing template for data services and this would have led to an increase in data price.

As expected, this was not well received by customers and it led to a massive protest on all social media platforms. The good news now is that the Senate has decided to intervene and they have ordered the NCC to suspend the proposed data increment. 

So at least for now we can be rest assured that the price of data isn't going to be increased anytime soon. At least we are saved for now.
