HOW TO INSTALL CWM ON INFINIX HOT NOTE X551
ClockworkMod popular known as CWM is the most common custom recovery for android devices, it replaces the stock recovery and it also performs advance functions which cant be done with the stock recovery such as full backup of your Rom, popularly known as Nandroid Backup, installation of flashable zip, custom roms e.tc.
In one of my previous tutorials, I posted a tutorial on HOW TO CREATE CWM ON ALL MTK DEVICES. But for the benefit of infinix hot Note users who love to tweak and mess around with their device and wish to create a backup of their rom or install a custom Rom,I will be showing you how to install cwm on infinix hot Note without a pc.
Requirements:
==> Your rooted infinix hot. Download here.
==> Infinix hot Note cwm recovery. Download here.
==> Mobile uncle. Download here.
==> A sdcard.

Procedure:
==> Download and install mobile uncle from the link above.
==> download cwm recovery and copy to the root of your SD card.
==> launch the mobile uncle and select recovery update.
==> choose the recovery you copied.
==> select OK in the next popup.
==> That’s it. You have just successfully installed custom recovery to your device.

ReplyDeleteI followed the steps but my phone did not reboot to the cmw recovery instead it just went to tell stock recovery setup

DeleteNice post, well done. I successfully installed d CWM on my hotnote n made a backup of my ROM but discovered I can't install updates from the system updates. Is it dat once one installs d CWM, he can't install system updates again, or how can I get those updates?

DeleteI heard nothing less than two bricked devices due to the update...
And this is very common among mtk devices

Deleterooting infinix hot note seems to be almost impossible after upgrading to lollipop almost every rooting method is failing
ReplyDeleteWhy are yo guyzz in a hurry to root it??... Remember the ROM is still on beta stage and lots of updates are been rolled out....
DeleteAm sure you know rooting your phone makes it prone to bricking especially when you are trying to update...
I will just advice you all to wait for the official release before you think of rooting

When i say root of your sdcard, what I mean is that you should put directly into your sdcard (without putting it inside any folder)

Hold down both th3 vol+ and power button agin to see the recovery options..
